Paintballs

Gelatin’s ability to form flexible coatings makes it one of the main ingredients in the manufacture of paintballs.
Providing the ideal balance between strength and fragility, it prevents the ball from breaking during the shot, but ensures that it breaks when it hits the player, reducing impact and ensuring the game’s overall effectiveness.

Other Applications

In the manufacture of matches, the combination of gelatin and water acts as a binder for other components, such as potassium chlorate, abrasive materials, and additives.

In restoration and preservation techniques for documents, works of art, furniture, and buildings, gelatin acts as an elastic and efficient adhesive.

Furthermore, gelatin encapsulation technology is applied in the production of herbicides and pesticides, promoting greater stability of the active ingredient during storage and use.
